SolarSeal Fan-Fold Systems ™

The SolarSeal Fan-Fold System (patents pending) connects solar panels with flexible connectors. Fan-Fold solar panels link together and form longer PV modules for faster installation over horizontal surfaces just like flexible thin film modules. Add non-solar panels with the Fan-Fold modules array and the Fan-Fold System transforms into a fully adjustable stand-alone off-set slope or stand-off arrays, eliminating the need for rack or post mounting components. Fan-Fold ships from the factory folded in a compact container and un-folds on-site.

Working with key photovoltaic partners, SolarPower Restoration Systems developed a new type of solar module panel for the Fan-Fold System. Fan-Fold PV module construction is unique, thin film photovoltaics or crystalline silicon is laminated to a metal composite panel (ACP) with a corrugated polymer core and sealed with an advanced top surface polymer film instead of glass. The ACP panel airflow cools the high efficiency crystalline silicon cells and forms a lightweight PV module weighting about 1-lb per sq.ft.

Using the SolarSeal Fan-Fold System, photovoltaics manufacturers create new product markets, offering custom panel configurations systems to OEM building product manufacturers, distributors and solar developers. Building product and roof product manufacturers can integrate Fan-Fold PV modules into their standard building and roofing systems with a wider range of new solar-to-product attachment methods when Fan-Fold is used with other SolarSeal Technologies™ attachment systems. Fan-Fold is developed for roof and wall applications or on ground based array systems.
